Because We Love It.

The Amateurs are one of Washington University’s many a cappella groups. But what sets us apart from the rest of the flock? Our style, our philosophy, and our attitude. Learn more »

Of course, being an a cappella group, we sing (a whole lot). In addition to our live performances, we record and produce our own CD’s. You can find complete track information about all of our CD’s and even hear samples of our sound online! Check it out »

The Amateurs Sing in Honor of Laura

the Amateurs with Laura Cobb

The Amateurs were delighted to sing in a concert for Laura Cobb on November 2nd. Laura danced along to the familiar music and looked great! The group can't wait to sing for Laura again and looks forward to the day she can sing along with us!

The Amateurs Sing for Sara Bareilles

The Amateurs were given the special opportunity to sing “Love Song” to Sara Bareilles. Bareilles, who sang as part of an a cappella group in college, was excited to hear us sing and filmed the momentous occasion for herself.

Spring Tour 2008

From March 8 to March 16, the Amateurs went on Spring Tour 2008 in our nation's capital, Washington, D.C. We visited the city's monuments, museums, and of course, restaurants! We especially enjoyed singing at Walt Whitman High School, Walter Johnson High School, and Richard Montgomery High School.
